Metisspheres S - Sugar Spheres
Techno-Specs:
- Sugar Spheres contain not more than 92.0 % of sucrose, calculated on
the dried basis. The remainder consists of maize starch, according to
EP.
- Possibility to analyze the Sugar Sphere according to Ph. Eur., USP/NF&JP.
- Sugar Spheres are used on critical excipients for controlled or
sustained release drug delivery technology.
- Sugar Spheres are inert pellets formulated with sucrose and maize
starch; manufactured for pharmaceutical, Herbal, and Neutraceutical
solid dosage formulations.

Techno-Specs:
- MCC Spheres, have been developed using microcrystalline cellulose
(MCC) as base.
- Microcrystalline cellulose is a purified, partly depolymerised
cellulose, prepared from alpha-cellulose.
- MCC complying Eur., USP/NF.
- MCC Spheres are sugar free pellets and offer a good alternative for
sugar.
- MCC has high physico-chemical inertness, so it improves the stability
of finished products.
- MCC Spheres exhibit a very low level of friability & pellets have
a better resistance in layering operation through an air fluidized
machine.
- MCC is insoluble in water and in most organic solvents.
- MCC Spheres nearly white or beige hard, uniform and spherical
particles & very low friability level.
- MCC Spheres particle sizes are available on request.
